Oceanic VT3

Posted on: 30th April 2008 by divemaster

Over a decade ago, Oceanic were asked to develop a special diving computer for NASA’s underwater test facility. Several leaps in hardware and software technology later, we proudly unveil the newest addition to the Oceanic Personal Dive Computer Series
The VT Pro.

The VT Pro is one of the most advanced personal dive computers available.
The receiver is a fully functioning dive computer as a stand-alone unit.
In addition to offering many user-defined settings and alarms, it can calculate decompression status, oxygen accumulation, maximum depths and times.
A small transmitter (available separately) mounts on a regulator first stage and transmits gas pressure data to the VT Pro receiver unit.
Coupled with the transmitter, the VT Pro evaluates tank pressure, depth, and current breathing rate to display air time remaining expressed in minutes.

The new VT Pro gives complete control of all dive data.
Depending upon preference and dive situation, the user can choose between a number of display formats at any given moment.
Preferences can even be changed while diving.
Several alarms can be set or deactivated, and alarm values can be changed to match a day’s dive plan.
