Santa Rosa Wall
Depths of 30-130+ feet. It’s a moderate/strong dive. It is the best known and most popular wall dive on cozumel.
The Santa Rosa Reef or Wall offers great beds of tunicates, immense sponges, huge overhangs of stony corals and impressive caves and tunnels and swim throughs. Its at its best between 40 and 80 feet.
Angelfish, parrotfish, triggerfish and groupers are to be seen. Blackcap Basslets can always be found in the recesses of the coral and in the caverns. Hermit crab, tiny gobies and blennies populate around the corals and sponges . Barracuda and large specimens of back grouper shelter under the overhangs. A torch is essential to appreciate the true beauty of the reef.
Off the wall larger marine life can be seen such as Eagle Rays, Grouper, and sharks.
Strong currents and average visibility of 25m make it a good drift dive.
