Mama Vina, an old shrimp boat, was sunk intentionally in 1995 to create an artificial reef and a focus for scuba diving. Now it is covered by coral growth which creates a fascinating reef. There is abundant marine life including Barracudas, Stingrays, Green Moray Eels plus schools of tropical fish.
Access is by day boat. Usually dives start at the southern side of the wreck, at about ten metres until the bow of the wreck comes into sight.. From there you can descend and drift along until you reach the stern and locate the propeller. You can then move on up and pentrate the lower deck through windows and explore the inside rooms.
